Last week I had a really nice lunch with three colleagues from Shanghai named Jiajia, Min Ming and Wang Ding. I decided to take them to Kreuzberg for an authentic experience of multi-cultural Berlin. We went to my favourite Turkish diner where we had Drm Dner, pasta and pizza. The Chinese colleagues were amazed by the big servings, but then again, the average German is a lot taller than the average Chinese and needs more food.
We also agreed that it's impossible to have traditional Chinese food in Berlin or anywhere in Europe (apart from a couple of restaurants in London'a china-town where the Roasted Duck is excellent), and that I would have to return the visit to experience real Chinese Food in the boom-town Shanghai.
Here are some pictures taken after the lunch on the Oberbaumbrcke where Berlin Kreuzberg and Berlin Friedrichshain meet.
